Save Local Waters

Save Local Waters, also known as The Regional Storm Water Collaborative, is composed of storm water districts, municipalities, and soil and water conservation districts in Southwest Ohio and Northern Kentucky. The organization aims to raise awareness about water quality issues in the Ohio River Valley. By leveraging joint resources, the collaborative is capable of reaching regional audiences with a consistent message in the most economical and efficient manner possible.

Mill Creek Alliance

The Mill Creek Alliance enables communities to protect and enhance the value of the Mill Creek, its tributaries, and watershed. Through collaborative action, the council strives to make the Mill Creek area a more desirable place to live, work and play.

Rivers Unlimited

The mission of Rivers Unlimited is to restore, maintain and improve Ohio’s rivers and streams, their water quality, scenic beauty, their multiple economic uses, and their effect upon Ohio’s quality of life. Rivers Unlimited accomplishes this mission by engaging citizens and organizations in direct action such as water quality monitoring, stream cleanups, and influencing public policy at the local, state and national levels.

Water Quality Monitoring Groups

Water quality monitoring programs measure the health and quality of our streams, which helps us make informed decisions about their protection and improvement. Volunteers collect and analyze samples from streams throughout the OKI-RCC region. Data are used to identify and mitigate point and nonpoint sources of pollution, understand the impacts of various land uses, and evaluate long-term trends.
